OMG!!! BEST FIRST DAY EVER!!! Today was our first official full day here in Rwanda. The girls were all at church when we woke up but when they got back the Headmistress Sr Juvenal took us on a little walk around campus. She brought us to a classroom where a few girls were talking. We introduced ourselves and the girls began to ask questions about who we were and where we come from. One of the girls was put in charge of giving us a tour of the rest of campus. Once we left the room a group of girls followed and continued to talk to us. As we moved throught the campus the line of girls grew.

Later today we were invited to a ceremony that celebrated the 10th aniversery of a US aid organization. After the ceremony there was music and me and Kamiya were invited up to dance. The girls taught us some tratitional and modern dance moves and we sang along to familiar songs by Drake and Rhianna. On the walk back to the school the girls invited us to the dining hall at 8pm.

We just came back from the dining hall and wow what a great experience! When we got there, we were welcomed by the group of girls we had met at the ceremony and we were lead to there table and introduced to there friends. They continued to ask us about our family and hobbies. We talked and listened to music. The girls only listen to music on the weekends so they were very high in energy. Hot Line Bling by Drake came on and the girls saw me and Kamiya dancing in our seats. The whole dining hall turned to cheer us on. Kamiya stood to dance and everyone screamed. A few songs went by and I got up to go show a group of girls how to dance salsa. We walked to the other end of the hall where there was no tables and plenty of space to dance. I was surrounded by ALL of the girls in the dining hall in a matter of seconds. I did a few steps and they all cheered me on. It was time for prayer so we were walked out and directed back to our room. If this is only the first day I cant wait for the days to come.
